The Isle of Man is one of the more interesting places in the world. It sits in the middle of the Irish Sea and is in almost the exact center of the British Isles. Most people assume that such an island would be part of the United Kingdom or Ireland, but in fact it is an independent nation. It does however rely on the United Kingdom for a great deal of things, everything from foreign relations to national defense.
