The best things that anyone can do if they find that they are driving past an accident scene is to keep moving at a steady pace, stay out of the way of official vehicles, and keep their eyes on the road instead of staring out the side windows.

There are enough distractions on the roads that drivers don’t need to also overwhelm their senses with distractions inside their vehicles too. Changing the radio station or song, applying make-up, goofing around, reading, texting, talking on a cellphone, and spending too much time looking to out the side windows are all the types of things that can cause a driver to not see that the vehicle in front of them has come to a stop.

There are many times during a vacation where finding your luggage in the speediest manner possible is important. Many people have luggage sets or duffel bags that look similar to the luggage of other travelers and when waiting in a hotel lobby, at the baggage claim area of an airport, or when arranging transportation bags can misplaced or lost. Solving this issue can be as simple as tying matching colored ribbons around the handles of your luggage or putting a sticker or colored tape on the baggage itself.

When you see that a tanker truck has been involved in an accident, remember that the area could be filled with fumes or hazardous chemicals could be on the roadway or any where near the scene. It is best to stay clear of the accident until the properly trained officials have inspected it.

While there are seemingly endless options for entertainment and relaxation at the resort you have chosen to spend your vacation at, don’t stay inside its walls for your entire trip. Often some of the best experiences had during a vacation are found some distance away from the hotel or resort. Many times the eating establishments that are away from the more tourist filled areas are of a more authentic quality too. So don’t be afraid to trek off to see a fabulous waterfall, visit an open air marketplace, see a rural community, visit a national park, go to a far off museum or art gallery, and more… the swimming pool will still be there when you get back.

There are a number of reasons why a vehicle may have to leave the roadway including colliding with another automobile, slick roads, high winds, making an evasive maneuver, and more. Slowing down and driving more alertly can compensate for many of those reasons.

Here is a non-geographic webcam. It won’t help anyone get from point A to point B, but it is fun to watch. It shows a hummingbird named Phoebe nesting in a rose bush. She lays eggs about five times a season and the hatching, feeding, and first flight are all caught on camera.
Here’s a look at the webcam setup:

You can check out Phoebe all day long at: Phoebe’s Cam

There are many places online that allow visitors to certain areas of the world, or travelers who have used specific airlines or hotels, to post their reviews of their experience. Before deciding on your destination and making your reservations, spend a little time reading through these trip reviews and find out from the experiences that other people have had whether you really want to go there or not. Often a particular attraction will be closed or inaccessible and a reviewer will include this in their review of the destination, by reading this information before you make your reservations you might be saving yourself from going on a vacation that would be a huge disappointment.

When involved in a traffic accident, the police and highway patrol are there to not only help you, but to make the roadway safe for the other drivers coming through the area. This may mean that they have to sometimes be impolite or even act in the interest of others, remember that keeping the other drivers safe is important too.

Just in case your luggage does get lost, packing one change of clothing in your carry-on bag could mean that you have at least one other outfit option to make use of while the airline or taxi company searches for your lost baggage. This could be enough to get you through the first evening or the next day without necessitating that you run out to the first place possible to start replacing clothing.
