Today, Hurricane Dolly is striking that area and a quick look at the webcam brings up a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error. This could be because the webcam is down due to the extreme weather or it could be that because so many people are trying to see what the area looks like that the site has become overwhelmed with internet traffic and was bumped offline.

The controversial red light cameras have come to the state of Indiana. Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. has given the OK for red light cameras to be installed in his town. What makes these cameras controversial is that many people dispute that they actually ran a red light, others object to them as an invasion of privacy, and others say that they cause more traffic accidents.
